Paul Liebenson joined the Board in 2011 and became Chair of the Nominating Committee in 2017. Paul is General Counsel of ArcelorMittal USA, the U.S. business unit of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company. Before joining ArcelorMittal in August, 2009, Paul was an assistant general counsel at Tellabs, Inc.; a vice president in the Law Department at Motorola; vice president, general counsel and secretary for Motorola Nortel Communications, a joint venture between Motorola and Nortel; a partner of Winston & Strawn; and Executive Director of the Inter-American Legal Services Association in Washington, D.C., a nonprofit corporation that promoted legal services for low-income groups in Latin America and the Caribbean. Paul received a B.A. from Tufts University, an M.A. from the John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
