Please Join Us for a Reception on Wednesday, May 3rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate the Julius Rosenwald Mural Completion and the Julius Rosenwald Exhibit Project Launch.  Remarks will commence at 6:30 p.m.

The reception will be hosted by the Lincoln Presidential Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Springfield in partnership with Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Looking for Lincoln, Jewish United Fund, and the Rosenwald Initiative.

Speakers to include: Tim Good, Superintendent of Lincoln Home National Historic Site; Nancy Sage, Executive Director of Jewish Federation of Springfield; Sergio 'Satch' Pecori, Board Chair and Erin Carlson Mast, President & CEO of the Lincoln Presidential Foundation.

About Julius Rosenwald
Julius Rosenwald was born a block from the Lincoln Home in 1862. His family lived in a house across from the Lincoln Home from 1868 until 1886. In 2019, that house became the first building named for a Jewish American in a National Park Service unit. Rosenwald is perhaps best known for his leadership of Sears, Roebuck and Company and for his role in the co-creation of thousands of “Rosenwald Schools” built in partnership with African American communities throughout the segregated South during the early 20th century.
