Join us on Wednesday, April 10th, from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. CT for a one-hour webinar that will screen the trailer and final segment (“The Risk of Tyrants”) of our short documentary series “Fortifying Our Democracy: Lincoln’s Lyceum Address” followed by a discussion with Dr. Angela G. Ray and Dr. Manisha Sinha, who are featured in the films, led by our CEO Erin Carlson Mast.
This documentary series explores the events that led Abraham Lincoln to deliver his speech to the Young Men’s Lyceum in 1838, “The Perpetuation of Our Political Institutions,” and the lessons we can take from it today. It was developed by Lincoln Presidential Foundation with generous support from Iron Mountain.
Dr. Angela G. Ray is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean for Graduate Education in the School of Communication at Northwestern University.
