Latest Generation Professional Development Session: Producing the Short

Date: 10/03/24
Location: Zoom

Join us for an engaging professional development session featuring documentary filmmaker Liliane Calfee from DePaul University and veteran educator Laura Rosenberg that explores storytelling through documentary filmmaking, centered around the contest theme "On This Land."

In our second session, we’ll get into the details of production including interview etiquette, camera, lighting, and sound. We’ll primarily focus on video content using mobile devices to make this as accessible as possible to all. We’ll also dive into editing covering a wide array of post-production tools and tips with an emphasis on historical documentary storytelling.
