November 1, 2022 – Springfield, IL The Lincoln Presidential Foundation (“Foundation”) announced today that the Taper Collection has been returned by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) pursuant to the terms of the expiring artifact loan agreement. 

The Taper Collection was on loan from the Foundation to the ALPLM in Springfield.  Working up towards the loan agreement’s expiration on October 31, 2022, the Foundation and ALPLM worked cooperatively to arrange for the orderly return of the Collection.
